is iGTD development dead?

Postby yanowitz » Tue Feb 26, 2008 6:45 pm

I ask this as an avid iGTD user, I've donated money to bargiel, etc.

Perhaps I am spoiled by the earlier iGTD 1.x release schedule -- many new features every week or so.

But, my questions, in the hope someone with knowledge answers, are:

1. Is iGTD 2.0 really going to ship? When can we expect an importer routine from iGTD 1 (the last announced date, http://bargiel.home.pl/iGTD/iGTD2/blog/ ... f1-13.html, was Jan 19).

2. Is iGTD for the iPhone really going to happen (I don't mean the
webapp)? Is there a sense of when that is?

I'm asking because if we are months away from these things, then perhaps I need to bite the bullet and move to using OmniFocus.

I really appreciate iGTD and how useful it's been (hence my donating to it), but it seems like it might no longer be a development priority. That's fine (albeit a bummer), but I'd just love to know what's going on.

Thanks!

i am also very curious as to what is going on, I've been holding out since december deciding to move to omni focus nor get used to the 'soon to be' old ways of version 1x.

If it's financial issues that are delaying development I'd be happy to donate or buy the programm if future support was asured.

Hoping for the best!

My last contact with Bartek was that he is going through some personal issues as of late. I just emailed him for an update but personally, I strongly empathize with anyone who may be dealing with life's problems and realize the person is more important than they're work.
Sure it's a bit trying, but hopefully we'll hear something soon.
Here's to hoping things get well for him. :tright:

I hope he's ok, let us know of any updates.

Also, if there is anything we can do to help, I guess many of us will be willing to help.

Still nothing. I've emailed Bartek several times with no response and now, the website is down. I'll keep trying but if anyone has any ideas on how to get in touch with him, please chime in. :(

Suggestion...

Postby Mike T » Thu Mar 20, 2008 11:01 am

I've *very* new to iGTD and ran into the '404' problem.

I found this forum and thought I'd offer a suggestion.

Has any of the 'admin's from the forum (instead of all of us users) contacted his hosting company to see if they have anything to say?

I hope everything goes well for him/them.

Thanks.

Yep. As expected they cannot reveal any info unless you are the owner of the site.
Thanks though. ;)

it's sad to see such a powerfull app die like this.
I'm happy I have at least a stable version working on my mac.

I hope all is well with Bargiel, and wish him the best with whatever he might be dealing with at the moment.
